Who are you alerting?
We’re recently heard of cases where alerts were being sent to senior managers within an organisation, causing some undue panic within the team.
We recommend that the MOVUS notifications are only sent to the relevant maintenance team members, so that they can review the advisory / alert in combination with other information they have at hand, to assess the relevant course of action (which may not involve sending the fire department at 3am!)
For senior staff, and others external to the primary reactive team, you can provide them with access to the dashboard and daily report emails, whilst removing the ‘Alarm’ SMS and Emails.
These are all set up on the Users page
To set up email notification, simply check the 'Daily Email' and or 'Alarm' checkboxes, as desired.
The system will use the email address specified for that user for notifications.
To set up SMS notification, simply check the 'Daily Email' and or 'Alarm' check boxes on the user profile page, as desired.
It's important to ensure the country code and mobile phone number are entered correctly - use the International Dialling Code for your country (+1 for USA, +61 for Australia, etc) and then the phone number.
We generally recommend that Email alerts are also selected as well as SMS, in case the SMS is not received for some reason.
