Bluetooth is always advertising the MAC address and you can connect via the app at any point.
The FitMachine will only wake up and connect to the WiFi network for up to 30 seconds at a minimum of every 20 mins (during the learning phase) and a maximum of 8 hours (Machine not running or WiFi back-off). There is no way to connect to the FitMachine via the WiFi.
In order to get the FitMachine to connect to the WiFi you can wait for the device to sync automatically or manually via the app. After doing a WiFi check on the app, the device will disconnect from the app and perform a sync.
If you plan to have your FitMachine achieve connectivity to the MachineCloud via your own WiFi Network (and not via a MOVUS Gateway), the details you will need for setup can be found below:

If you are unable to configure WiFi via the FitMachine App, you may have an early version of FitMachine on site, which are only capable of connectivity via a MOVUS Gateway. In this case, please contact our support team for assistance.
